C&A AW16 Launch: Nature’s Elements

Last week, at the launch of its AW16 collection, C&A gave us a glimpse of what fashion to wear this upcoming fall. Kid you not, this summer won’t last forever and we better be prepared ;) .

Believing that nature should be part of everyday life, C&A created Nature’s Elements, a collection filled with autumnal textures, with rich boucles and felted fabrics taking center stage. Using the great outdoors as inspiration, the clothes are made out of organic textures and delicate feminine detailing, while the colour direction is marked by the changing seasons—autumnal tones shift to icy pastels, with later deliveries in dark and dramatic winter shades.

For me, the standout looks are those in picture #1 below: the floral maxi skirt and browm overalls, both bohemian inspired, with strong roots in rural romanticism. There also a complementary line of amazing accessories (very delicate cuffs and statement rings), which pleasantly impressed me. Oh, not to mention the setting—it was stunning. Kudos to Emanuel Iuhas for the great work. I was instantly transpose into your fairytale forest, Emanuel.

Maybe it’s a bit early to ask this question, but what is it that gets you excited when you think about your fall wardrobe? For me, it’s always the wrapping jackets that are warm and fluffy.

Ok ok, let’s get to the present now. We still have a full summer ahead of us and we need t make it fabulous. It’s another #SummerOnMyMind, Fabulous People! Remember, #WeAreFabulous

C&A SS16 Launch: The Journey

Launched in an exquisite setting, C&A’s SS16 collection reminded me of everything that I miss during this snowy, cold January: sun, sea, and a much deserved summer holiday. It was my Indian summer in the middle on winter, an excellent opportunity to embark on The Journey through the Orient.

Shades of blue and beige, bright yellow, black and white geometrical prints, fringes, the collection—which will be available in stores soon—equips a woman with all the must-haves for her vacation. My favourite pieces are the denim jumpsuit, the gold-yellow sneakers, and the geometrical backpack.

The best remedy to beat the winter cold is to travel to a warm place, so until we book a flight to such a destination, hope you enjoy this sneak preview from The Journey. Remember, #WeAreFabulous

A N T I P R A C T I C E – Pas du Tout FW 15/16 Collection

posted in: #FabulouslySpotted, Blog | 0

Mysterious, androgynous, opulent, luxe. That’s how I’d characterize Pas du Tout‘s latest collection. Launched last week in a spectacular venue, ANTIPRACTICE is Madalina Dorobantu’s proposition for FW 15/16.

I love the colour scheme. Dominantly black, the collection featured tones of grey, as well as my favourite metallic mix of gold and silver. Another thing I enjoyed is the nice play of hard and soft. Although heavy and strong, some pieces revealed glimpses of vulnerability, delicacy, and ease.

There’s nothing sexier than a woman confidently wearing men’s attire. And while I wouldn’t go so far as to endorse dresses to men, I appreciate the versatility and the androgynous dimension of the clothing on display.

Heavy, but bare. Penurious, but opulent. Minimal, but extremely meticulous. This is ANTIPRACTICE to me.

Here are some of my favourite looks as they walked down the runway:
